Rep. Bruce Chandler, R-Granger, today released this statement about the passage of House Bill 3292 from the State Government and Tribal Affairs Committee:

“Citizens expect an open government that they can trust, a government that has integrity and honesty,” Chandler said. “I voted yes to pass this bill out of committee because I support keeping government accountable to citizens. There have been too many questions about what happens in local government executive sessions. This bill would ensure that business done behind closed doors is protected unless there is serious question about what was said.”
