Bruce Chandler is a State Representative for the 15th Legislative District, which covers the eastern portion of Yakima County. He was elected to his first term in 1998 and currently serves on several legislative councils. He is the ranking Republican on the House Appropriations Committee and a member of the Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee.

Rep. Chandler has been a leading voice for anti-gang legislation, and he continues to advocate for policies that increase public safety and reduce violence. He has been outspoken against public financing of political campaigns, and supported a bill that, if passed, would have recorded executive sessions in local government. When he’s not busy in Olympia, he owns and operates a commercial fruit orchard near Granger. He has three grown children.
